Ground Heat Source Pump

Ground source, (sometimes referred to as geo-thermal) heat pump systems utilise solar energy that is stored in the ground. Energy that is stored in the ground is often a stable and secure source of energy but isn’t very useful at the temperature that it comes out of the ground.

A device known as a heat pump transforms energy taken from the ground to a higher temperature so it is useful for the heating of dwellings. This transformation of temperature is achieved by using electricity to run the pump.

A ground heat system comprises a ground energy collector a heat pump and a heat emitter system. The emitter system may be similar to a wet central heating system however current design is generally installed under floor.
